The Mackenzie Figure Skating Club is seeking donations or sponsorships for their Golden Anniversary: 50 Years Ice Show taking place March 7 and 8, 2026.

Is there anything Council wishes to address in the "For Consideration" or "Centre Table File" correspondence? 

A letter from Northern Health Authority and the First Nations Health Authority reaffirms that harm‑reduction services such as Overdose Prevention Sites, and drug checking, will continue operating despite the end of B.C.’s decriminalization pilot. Northern Health Authority emphasize their commitment to working with Northern communities and partners to support health, safety, and access to life‑saving services.

 

The City of Kamloops has sent the attached certified resolution to the Southern Interior Local Government Association.

An update from Lynsay Pacey, Program Officer, Union of BC Municipalities (UBCM) on the funding for the Mackenzie Fire Rescue Live Fire Training.

Heritage Week is a province - wide celebration that invites communities across British Columbia to recognize and celebrate local history, culture, and heritage.

Join the Purple Lights Campaign by illuminating the Mackenzie Recreation Centre Purple on March 26, 2026 for Purple Day. This annual event helps raise awareness for those living with epilepsy in British Columbia.

  • THAT Council approves the 2026 – 2027 Visitor Centre Operations Agreement with the Mackenzie Chamber of Commerce in the amount of $28,000 per year.

  • THAT Council supports an application of up to $30,000 to the Union of British Columbia Municipalities (UBCM) for the Emergency Operations Center Equipment and Training grant;

    AND THAT the Chief Administrative Officer be authorized to execute the grant application, and if successful, and related documentation.

  • THAT Council supports the District of Mackenzie’s application to the Northern Development Initiative Trust’s Economic Development Capacity Building grant program for up to $50,000.

    AND THAT the Chief Administration Officer be authorized to execute the grant application and, if the application is successful, any related documentation.

  • THAT Council supports the District of Mackenzie’s application to the Northern Development Initiative Trust’s Grant Writing Support grant program for up to $8,000 in funding towards the District of Mackenzie’s Grant Writing Support Services program;

    AND THAT the Chief Administration Officer be authorized to execute the grant application and, if the application is successful, any related documentation.
