CALLED TO ORDER AT 7:15 PM.

Mayor Atkinson acknowledged the land on which we gather is within the traditional territory of the Tse’khene People of the McLeod Lake Indian Band.

Janice Nelson, a resident, inquired about the attendees at the UBCM convention. Mayor Atkinson responded that she, along with Councillor Hipkiss and Brumovsky, had attended the convention last week. Mayor Atkinson emphasized the productivity of the week and mentioned that they had the opportunity to meet with four provincial ministers. She also mentioned that a comprehensive report on the week's events would be included in her Mayor's Report for September.

Ms. Nelson inquired about whether the UBCM publishes a report from their meetings. In response, Mayor Atkinson stated that the UBCM will publish the resolutions that were passed during the convention. Mayor Atkinson also highlighted the current improved representation of Northern communities on the UBCM Board of Directors. Mayor Atkinson further described the week as being busy and productive, expressing anticipation for positive responses to the District of Mackenzie's requests.

Ms. Nelson inquired about the involvement of the District of Mackenzie in the resolutions at the event. Mayor Atkinson clarified that while the District of Mackenzie did not submit any resolutions themselves, they actively participated by voting on the resolutions during the event.
